BioActive is an umbrella project for ActiveRecord models of biological databases. The currently available databases are:
| GO (Gene Ontology) | GOActive |
| Unimod | ActiveUnimod |
At the moment ActiveUnimod is available as a gem generator, allowing it to be used by Rails to make the database models within an application or programatically as you would use any other gem. GOActive is distributed as a plugin or gem, but will be ported to the gem generator model soon.
Just contact me. In the future I’ll post a tutorial here sharing my insight into making these kinds of model libraries.
